Translink Removals

I would like to say a big thanks to the lads that moved us from Leicester to Glasgow at the weekend. Despite a long journey the lads was very hard working from start to finish and well mannered. We were charged with a very good price what I was quoted. No damages or problems. Whatsoever I would highly recommend them to friends and family. I would use them again. Now I would like to thank this site as this is where I found homelink and can see why they are the recommend for this site.

I'm writing this as I have just read Matt's review, and frankly I'm really sorry to say that he's been ripped off. They have outright stolen from him. Theft and fraud, nothing more and nothing less

Matt: I have ensured that I am contactable. I have evidence for all of the below saved and am taking legal action. The evidence will also prove your case; let's work together on this one. I'm sure I'll receive something vile from Joseph in my inbox by doing this. That's fine by me, he'll just implicate himself further if he does so. I'll just save it with the other emails etc.

Firstly, don't be fooled by the positive reviews. Look at the typos in many; same basic spelling mistakes "we was.." by multiple people? Coincidentally the same spelling mistakes also appeared in emails from the company. This in itself is fraud.

Also please note that this company is not BAR (British association of movers) registered.

We also wanted to use Homelink a couple of months ago; Joseph does seem nice on the phone. However, after agreeing and paying a deposit and signing up, we became increasingly concerned. We did not receive boxes as planned, and after about 3 weeks of badgering and increasing excuses got some tiny ones.

What worried us most was the feeling we were being squeezed for money. Although we agreed a deposit value at the start, we got all sorts of excuses as to why we should pay over more and more each week. In cash. To someone who said he "knew" Joseph, but did not work for the company.

And in the meantime, with the weeks ticking by, there were no concrete arrangements. The deposit reached £500, with more and more demands for money.

Then my dad fell terminally ill. We had to abandon the move to help him out financially. I wrote an extremely apologetic email to Joseph explaining that we'd have to pull out. I didn't want to go into why, for obvious reasons. We were well within the cancellation period stipulated in the contract, and entitled to a full refund.

I got abuse back, pure and simple. A semi-illiterate rant basically. it was awful, and blamed me for forcing the closure of his company.

As part of the rant, he said he was closing his company. 3 days after asking for the full £1.5k balance from me. A clear attempt to commit Fraud / clear evidence of trading insolvent. Take your pick, both are criminal offences.

Oh yes, he said he was living in a caravan, couldn't pay his staff wages, and was closing his company - THIS WAS AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER - and hence could not pay back my deposit.

So, I'm afraid this company has no intention of actually doing jobs, and every intention of simply stealing peoples money

The saddest thing is that the company appears legitimate to the untrained eye (which, let's face it, applies to almost anyone using a removal company); and that sites like this one are allowed to effectively advertise and provide a platform for criminals to carry out their crimes.

I moved from norwich to rotterdam in the netherlands on 11/06/2014, I would like to say how impressed I was with the efficient service that I received and smooth running with the removal overall. I have many large antique items that I was a little worried about being transported but need'nt have as all items were well cared for and in the same condition as they were taken when I recieved them. very happy with this service and would highly recommend and use again. job well done Thankyou homelink.

We decided to move with home link because their services were recommended to us by a family friend. Prompt, quick and careful movers. The 4 men who moved us were brilliant. All our furniture arrived in the same condition that it was collected, the men from home link were very professional and polite and made us feel at ease. A massive thank you to all who helped move us from Oxford to Leicester. I would recommend home link to anyone. Thanks home link for a first class move.

I was looking online and came across homelink removals I read their reviews and they looked impressive.When I rang homelink the person on the other end of the phone was so helpful and polite they informed me of their packing services and a few other different services they offer.I didn't take any of their other services but when they did our move I got the impression that if I did I would have been very pleased as the move went along without a hitch.The men who came were punctual and polite they carried out their very professinaly no complaints of any sort!! Well chuffed 5 star service.

We used homelink for our move to Ireland the service was fantastic a great team of movers really pleased with the service was second to none. Richard explained how everything would work and the delivery timings was kept to. We decided to use them based on their reviews on this site we have not moved this far before but no problems with any part of the service whatsoever we even got our packing kit free. We don't plan to move again. Now but if we do we have homelinks number and would call them again without hesitation.

Me and my partner recently used homelink to relocate us back to the uk from Madrid, Its not an easy process moving that far but I am pleased to say everything went very well no hick ups at all. The gents who came to load was really good at what they do. Everything was packed by the gents for the journey back. We have used several other companies in the past but of them all these guys are the best we have used so far. All the paperwork and everything for customs was all take care of for us. A very easy process if you like us appoint the right company. So a massive thanks to them all they really did very well and am more than satisfied with their services and will whole heartedly recommend them. 10 out of 10.
