Legend Removals

Legend Removals has attractive quotes for moves to France which is how they get you to sign up for their services. I tried my best to find the trick to their attractive pricing, reviewing all their extras to see what was hidden. But I could not find it.


The trick is as follows: you can only have 60kgs per m3 of stuff you want moved. If it sounds like a lot, consider this: one m3 of water is 1,000kgs. That's it. Unless you are moving air, you will go over your limit. And this is where it gets painful: 140 GBP per 60kilos of extra things to move. It adds up to an actual fortune. They will keep your furniture hostage if you do not pay.

Besides this, I am not convinced that the movers are very aware of what the word fragile means. I mean, I think they have often seen it, but it's one of those things you see so often you forget. For instance, a case that says Fragile on all sides and has mention of containing a vase was litteraly picked up and tilted 90 degrees to be transported. I do not know yet what was broken in the move, I will edit this review once I know more.

I recently made the move from a small Gascon village back to the UK. It was a reluctantly urgent and stressful experience.
Phoning around for a quote was relentless but I found Richard in sales at Legends removals sympathetic as I wasn’t sure of the capacity or timing of the move. Once booked, Megan in transport was honest about timings of the collection and kept me posted as to the two assigned trucks whereabouts. When the lads arrived, Tim and Emil could not have been nicer. Efficient and patient they gave extra help when needed though they had a tight schedule to work within. The access to the property was difficult and they never complained once. I will definitely use them again and recommend their services to friends.

I booked my this company to remove my belongings from Berlin to the UK. They hassled and called several times in order to ensure I choose them once I received a quote. I booked them in June for a removal and drop of of my things in September.

A week before my removal I called this company everyday for 7days to make sure my removal will happen on the day I booked as I have a 6month old baby and as a single mum it is difficult to organise these things on your own. When the day of the removal came, I had no calls or email to say when the removal van will come. I had to call them myself at 8am in the morning (which nobody picked up). I called every hr then until 5pm I was told that the removal van may or may not come that day (wasting my whole day and I had to call them to get this information). I was then told because it was hot in the UK the van will not come, this was 9pm at night. I was then told the removal van will arrive the next day (a day late of my removal time, of which I had paid for).

I called the enxt day every hour from 7am until 14:00pm to then be sent a screen shot of the delivery van en route (Again another day lost). The delivery van finally arrived 12:00midnight to pick my things up (Which I was told by the pick up driver he was only alerted a couple of hrs prior to come get my things). With a 6month old baby, they woke my baby up and I had to help them pack as my flight leaves in the morning back to the UK at 6am.

When I was due to receive my things, AGAIN the delivery van did not show up on the appointed time in which I already took a day off work for. The next day they turned up, it was not my things, the next day the came back and delivered my items. My items which came damaged. I sent a pictures to the office immediately in September and I made a claim for damages. This is now November and they still refuse to reply to numerous emails which I have sent with regards to my damaged property.

This is suppose to be a reputable company. I don't agree!!
