International Sea & Air Shipping

I have move more than twice overseas and I have had the worse experience EVER working with this company. My sales agent, Niki Tatar, provides a shopping estimate based on my list of things to be about $3500 for a DOOR TO DOOR service. They packed FEW of my things (I ahd pack the rest, half of a 1 bedroom apartment) and invoiced me for $5200 because apparently my actual was larger in size (DOUBLED??). Not sure how that was possible, as I didn't have any oversized furniture, not even a couch to move. Once my stuff was picked up I never heard from the move coordinator, Marina Lara, until I reached out asking for an update. My goods were held for 2 weeks before being shipped. After the invoice discussion were they were charging my a higher than quoted $per Cubicfeet, which took a lot of back and forth to get it right (but still from 320 to 480 CuFt). My goods are about to arrive to the port, And I was invoiced another $2500 for port handling fees. Again, estimated amount omitted by Niki, as the agreement only states special costs. Do not use this company. They will say anything to get the sale and leave with screwed with your goods in their hands.

Service cost: $7500

The bad news:
- The estimate was low for the furniture I had.
- It took a little longer than estimated.
The good news:
- I was able to disassemble my furniture so that my cubic footage actually came in under the estimate.
- They, and their partner in France, were great to fantastic in working in my extremely tight time window
- Packing and delivery were great. I've done about 6 international moves, this was definitely well above average.
- Everything from services at the harbor to tax forms was professionally handled, any confusions were quickly resolved.
- Any questions I had were answered very quickly and respectfully. Even stupid questions that they had answered before.
- Representatives were easily reachable by phone and email.

Your estimate was spot on and any time I had questions you were always available. Our shipment arrived in France and the company that delivered and unpacked were as excellent as your crew in NJ . It was obvious from the minute you answered the phone that you were professional and experienced and because of that our move was smooth and painless! I will recommend International Sea & Air Shipping and you specifically to my HR department as we have about 50 Employees relocating in the next 6 mos.Thank You For Doing What You Do Best!

We moved from Baltimore to Vienna, Austria and had an excellent experience with this company. All our items were packed well and arrived in good condition. The movers on both ends were courteous and efficient (even in the face of some hurdles), as were all that we communicated with by phone and email. The quoted price was competitive and accurate. A couple of billing errors were corrected without delay, and there were no surprise charges. We would absolutely recommend International Sea & Air Shipping.

My international move was not easy. It was stressful and emotional, however the staff at international sea and air shipping were great. From the beginning Robert was very responsive. Although I didn’t always understand the moving/shipping lingo marina was responsive , helpful and kept me positive and hopeful. Juan at the warehouse kept me updated about my deliveries to the warehouse. Bruce and Paul were respectful and packed my belongings with great care. Ronnie was always there to answer questions. Overall they were great. I would recommend them to anyone.

Overall a very good experience. This was our first time dealing with a freight shipment, so I was appreciative of the company's patience in dealing with my novice questions. Boaz was very responsive and Janice was especially helpful and friendly. After our goods cleared customs, it was a matter of days before they arrived at our door in Brooklyn. Everything was in great condition - no damage at all.

My only complaint is that we wound up paying around $1000 more than the originally quoted price in various fees, taxes, charges and who knows what else. I understand these weren't International Shipping's charges, but I wish I had had a concrete, dollar-figure conception of just how expensive all those other various fees would be, as it added significantly to our expected cost.

The entire process of moving from Pine Beach, NJ to Bonegilla, Victoria, Australia was terrific. All staff have been extremely helpful, very professional and courteous The Australian connection - Palmer Relocations were also a great company to deal with. Michael Brewer was very easy to work with and he and his team were very organised and professional. The whole process has been a great experience, I am a member of a 4,000 plus social group of Motorcycle riders, bases in NJ, but spread throughout USA and beyond - I will be giving ISAS and Palmer Relocations absolute top marks in all areas in a soon to be posted review to that group - the New Jersey Motorcycle Cruisers.
