  Full house clearance

As I live abroad, I required an unsupervised partial clearance to enable my mother's house to be placed on the market. Then, a full clearance and items sent overseas on completion of the sale. Items were sent to auction, charity, and some waste. All this was achieved with professionalism, sensitivity, and care. Clear and rapid communication. A stressful process made easy. Thank you.

An excellent service. Andrew and his colleague turned up on time and were courteous and efficient. They delivered furniture to my daughter’s house in Darlington and she reported very well of them. I have used them before and would do so again. They are a local York company and their rates are very reasonable.

  Local removal

Finally got around to writing this review! We used Hooks Removals in January of this year to move locally from a large house to a much smaller one. Andrew and his crew were punctual, professional, polite, friendly and very hard working. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They made a stressful time a lot easier by their kindness. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and recommend them to friends and family. Thank you Andrew.

  Fabulous efficient home moving service

I hired Hooks to help with all the “big stuff” in a recent house move. They turned up on time, were friendly and even helped us to move some furniture around that was already in our property and helped us to connect washing machine. All of our things were handled with care and it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Thanks again, a hard recommend from me!
- They were on time and worked through the house with great efficiency.

Long-distance move from Yorkshire to Yorkshire

Garage to house move

Just had an excellent experience with Andrew, moving a garage full of furniture and bric a brac from garage in Haxby to Langtoft. Arrived on time, polite, knew what they were doing and their estimate of time taken was spot on. Even did a little extra to help. Very pleased .

Long-distance move from York, North Yorkshire to York, North Yorkshire

Move within York

It was a short move, but complicated as our sale-dates kept shifting, and we had a lot of pictures and books. Andrew was calm, supportive and reliable. His team worked speedily and efficiently. Lots of laughter too. They even made a special journey to deliver an overlooked orange tree (no, really). VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

Excellent

Drew and his team were amazing in helping me move, they took great care in ensuring my belongings were looked after but were also quick and efficient. Costs were transparent and better value than others I had estimates from. If I ever move again I’d use Hooks and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.
