Colin and his team (Chris and Pedro) were brilliant they arrived early and worked extremely hard until everything was ready to be moved. Once we were able to get in to our new property again they worked very hard ensuring all boxes were in the correct rooms. They made a very stressful house move a lot easier with all their hard work and friendliness.
Prices are very competitive and the service is very professional.
I would highly recommend using changing places.

Service cost: £600

Colin and his team provided an extremely efficient removal service. This included packing for us the day before and the dismantling and reassembling two large wardrobes ( both Ikea do not the easiest) and 3 double beds. All was done very quickly and with minimum fuss. There was no damage to any items and nothing was too much trouble. We have used the services of Changing Places in two occasions now and found their pricing very competitive and their service excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Colin and the team at Changing Places were prompt, helpful and obviously very good at what they did.
They helped us move from a 2 bed to a 3 bed in Hemel Hempstead (Hertfordshire). They provided us with boxes (as and when requested), guidance on how best to pack and were at hand for any queries.
On the day of the move they arrived at the advised time, were quick and efficient in the way they worked; but more importantly careful when moving large or fragile items.
At the new house, they were again very helpful and happy to wait while we collected keys etc. and when unloading happy to ask for direction if boxes had not been labelled.
I would definitely recommend their services - 10 out of 10.

A very professional exercise, supervised by Colin Hosier (proprietor) who showed himself to be a seasoned operator, intent upon meeting his client’s needs at what can prove to be a very stressful time!

 

Colin’s review of our requirements was meticulous, and he provided a detailed plan of action to ensure a smooth removal. He even visited us again just before removal day, to check on final details. On removal day itself he and his team arrived on time and raring to go – they were all cheerful & courteous and worked in an extremely efficient manner, with no disruption to either our goods or our neighbours’ lives! Having travelled the 200 miles to our new location they arrived the next day, on time and just as enthusiastic – all our goods were delivered back to us without any mishaps, and in good time.

 

I have no hesitation in recommending Changing Places to any potential clients.

Colin and the rest of the team at Changing Places were excellent and made the moving day hassle free. We were able to let them get on with things with complete confidence. Colin was helpful, professional and a useful support during the moving process. He dropped round boxes free of charge well in advance of the move, was punctual on the day and him and his men were very careful with all boxes and furniture. He was flexible and patient when having to pick up keys and good value compared to both local and national companies. I can’t recommend Colin enough and wish all companies in the moving process were as professional as Changing Places.

Colin and his team oversaw my recent removal and were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. It was a fairly complicated job, with the contents of my 3-bed house being moved out, stored for 2 months and then moved in to a new property but Changing Places completed the work with the minimum of fuss and always with a smile on their faces. Colin's communication was clear and quick, the quote I received was uncomplicated and didn't change, and I thought they represented excellent value for money. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again if need be.

The owner Colin is lovely, he came round to assess and even dropped round some extra free boxes. On the day of the move, the team managed by Chris were brilliant, ver calm and more carefully organised than any remover I've seen. They also went above and beyond helping me get rid of some stuff. Then when I left really important personal info in one of the desks they kept it safe. Extremely trustworthy, reliable, professionally skilled, and lovely people too. Can't recommend highly enough.

Changing Places provided an a most efficient service involving the movement of items from one property into two. A quote was provided at short notice by Colin, who was most helpful & friendly. On moving day, his two colleagues worked exceedingly hard through appalling weather conditions to get everything where it needed to be with great care & attention, even managing to keep straight faces whilst enquiring where my daughter’s box of “heffalumps” should go!

I would recommend Changing Places for their efficiency and reasonable charges, and will be calling upon them again in future. Many thanks.

Colin and his team were great from the first estimation right through to the safe delivery of all belongings to our new house. Colin supplied boxes, tape and labels. After days of packing the team turned up exactly on time for moving day. It was all quickly loaded and off to Lincolnshire from Hemel. We collected the keys and arrived at the new house to find the team waiting. Doors open and they got on with it. Little touches like putting a divan bed together were appreciated.

It was the first we had moved house in over 30 years and Colin and his team helped make the move painless. Very highly recommended.

Colin moved us on the 24th October. He and his team were punctual friendly and efficient. They handled all our possessions well and had already supplied us with plenty of boxes and labels.

Colin came round twice over several months first to do a quote and on the second occasion to work out the logistics.

The move was 130 miles and took about 2 and a half hours as M4 was closed.

I would highly recommend the price was very reasonable and I think its important to use local smaller businesses.

My partner used changing places several years ago to move from a small flat to our two bed home. This time, we moved together to a larger home and were delighted to secure changing places to move us. It's been a tough ride with lenders and solicitors, but the whole time, Colin, at changing places has been amazing. We finally got moved today, the crew arrived on time, they are really hard working, they take care with your move and make this important and final stage of the move work smoothly. I could not be happier with the service we received today.

This is the second time we have used Changing Places to move in the past 5 years.

This latest move on the 26/01/21 was done once again, with a friendly, respectful and most importantly helpful approach. We were well packed but the chaps came early, took away all the stress and were genuinely a joy to help us move.

They took the time at the other end as well and carried on way past 5pm until the job was done. There were cheaper removal companies, but you get what you pay for and Colin and his team have not let us down twice in a row now.

Colin and the team were fantastic. Great communication with Colin on the lead up to moving day. On moving day when Colin and the team arrived we went to get breakfast and by the time we got back everything was packed up and ready to go. When they unloaded all our boxes to our new house it was the same thing, we went for a walk by the time we got back everything was in the correct room and was in the places we wanted. It made the day very stress free for us. I’d certainly recommend Colin moving company to anyone.

Colin and team(Chris and Neil) were extremely professional and provided an awesome service. Our move was local within St Albans. The guys reached at 9:30 AM sharp and the move was completed at 9:59 AM. For us, this was a record as everything was shifted from A to B in half an hour. The whole process was very smooth and we weren't stressed at all. I would definitely recommend Colin&team and will surely use their services in the future!

P.S. The service cost was £40 as we had approx 12 boxes and no large furniture/white goods move. However, the second step of the review only accepts minimum £90 for the cost. So mentioned that.

We had a tight turnaround between exchange & completion but with only a weeks notice Colin was super helpful and even hired in extra vans for us. He delivered boxes to us really quickly so we could get packing, and was super responsive and obliging when we asked for more (twice!). On the day, despite awful rain, Colin and the team worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and swift departure from our old house. They worked like machines to get the job done and to make it a stress free experience for us. We had some tricky items such as a piano, to manoeuvre down a narrow glass staircase, but this was no problem for them. Colin and his team were fantastic! They were extremely professional and friendly. They work very quickly and efficiently. I will definitely use them again and will be recommending them to all my friends and family. This is a very honest and reliable firm and extremely reasonable priced. Colin is a man of his word and honour. We needed to move before the stamp duty holiday finished, Colins company was the only company that went out of their way to help us and kept his price down. We cannot speak highly enough about Colin and the team. From the initial visit to assess our needs, through several queries, delivery of packing materials (including a top-up) and the move itself, Colin provided clear and accurate information, kept us updated over timings and then moved our belongings out of a 4 bedroom house in about 3 hours, and into our new home in about 2 hours. Even our heavy books and super-heavy vinyl record collection were handled with care. Very good price too!

We did a long distance move from Hertfordshire to Dorset and it went so smoothly thanks to the Changing Places Removals team. Colin was really helpful, attentive and quick to respond during the run up to our move. On the day, the team was lead by Chris who was absolutely fantastic. Chris & co worked so hard and took such good care of our items, especially when stacking it all within our storage unit which was a challenge in itself, but Chris miraculously made it all fit.
