We had a great experience with Andrew Porter. The day we moved was incredibly icy and traffic was bad but they got the job done promptly and competently. The team were polite and courteous, and they sent the right number of men for the job.

Our load included a piano, which they handled with appropriate care. We opted to pack our own boxes but as we hadn't quite finished, the team helped out with the last few! The boxes themselves which Andrew Porter provided were decent quality and easy to assemble.

The team used dust sheets to protect the floors in the old and new properties, and we found no damage to our possessions when they'd finished.

We found the residential/domestic moving experience with Andrew Porter Ltd to be absolutely fantastic. The price quoted and paid was very good value for money. It took the stress out of moving. We had a lovely man from Andrew Porter Ltd come to the house to do an initial assessment of our moving needs. We felt very special that our move was tailored to us and not treated as just another move. We opted to pack our own items and were provided with more than ample suitable boxes and packing materials.

We also opted for a pickup, and leave in storage for 3 days and then deliver. The moving out guys (I think I recall their names to be Les and Steve) who arrived to our home in Adlington, Lancashire and did the pick up were brilliant. Very professional, courteous and did the pick up with absolutely efficiency We were assured that our items, once packed into the truck, remained there untouched and in a secure compound until the day we moved in. We found this to be very reassuring.

On the day of the move into our new home, the same truck with our belongings arrived at the new property at 9am in the morning - very prompt! The moving in guys (Ludo and John) were unbelievably professional, calm, in control and made the whole moving in day feel like a breeze! Thank you everyone at Andrew Porters Ltd, you did us proud and would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone thinking of using professional movers.

The pre-move visit and estimate were reliable and honest and inspired confidence.

Reliable, professional and courteous. Excellent packing service and all costs as quoted.

Excellent, huge van and all went very well. The service they claimed would be delivered was duly delivered.

The access to the new property was very challenging and one of the neighbours was very put out that such a large van came down the narrow opening, but the removal team did not demure and managed some miraculous maneuvering.

There was a small mark on piano but not other damage.

The three lads that arrived on the morning of our move were absolutely brilliant and went far beyond the norm. The day of the move was horrendous as we still didn't have any keys and didn't know if we would have that day so they delayed the job for a couple of hours just so we weren't hanging around for ages. However all worked out well and all my furniture was delivered without any marks and in the rooms that I wanted. I never want to move again but if I did I would definitely use Andrew Porter.

I used Andrew Porter for my recent house move, the 2 men that arrived were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble they went above and beyond in helping me finalise packing and the removal on the day. I had a different team a couple of weeks later who returned my whole house contents from their storage depot, again they were fantastic, helpful and nothing was too much trouble
They took great care with all my possessions, nothing at all damaged. Great service and will use again when I move house, and can thoroughly recommend. They were not the cheapest firm but offered the best most complete service

The move was in Kendal, Lake District but there is not option on location, so have had to specify nearest place which is Manchester 100 miles away!

Moved from Clitheroe to Coppull in May, Martin & Aarron were our removal guys, they were professional and respectful nothing was too much trouble for them, not so much as a plate chipped!! They worked non stop and even offered to take some of our empty boxes away. They export wrapped my specially fragile items and delivered them to each room as requested without complaint, even if my husband initially directed them to the wrong room.
But hey porters get them a new van!!

Moved from Whitefield to Cheshire. The move was very difficult with date cancellations, late notice and finally late keys. The office were extremely helpful and the team that arrived to finally load the van worked non stop and showed why you should get experts to move large furniture and plan the load properly. The whole team was supportive and efficient and as time drew on in the day more help arrived to enable the unload to happen quickly and with very professional efficiency, not a single scratch, mark or breakage. They had good ideas for arranging the boxes to unpack and put everything where it should be. Fantastic!

It is said that moving home is one of the most stressful experiences you can have.
I tend to disagree with that. It could be if you 'do it yourself' but all the stress was taken away by the 2 man crew who turned up on time and we're so efficient from all angles.
Particularly at the 'other end' only 3 or 4 miles away. We were lucky enough to move to a new build which the surrounding area is still a building site. The 2 guys were on to it and had all the carpeted routes protected with plastic before anyone set foot in the house.
The whole experience was just so good. That started weeks before the move, on the delivery of boxes to be filled at a leisurely pace.
It just 'worked' for us and stress just didn't rear its ugly head and I believe that was all down to Porters and their staff. Highly recommended.
