Smiles agent gave a quote but on the moving day a wrecked ,torn rusty ,small van turned up with three of his mates in it.
No luck trying to contact the agent so had to go with it.
They stacked the household contents in the street and in public areas then drove off in a half filled van for 'prayers' .
At destination goods were broken ,damaged or missing.
When confronted they suggested I check the interior of their wrecked van !

I did a full house moved from SE27 to BR3 very recently and as always with a sale/purchase the lead up to completion day was stressful. BUT Simon took a lot of that away with a full pack the day before (he and Peter did a sterling job) and then the team he gave me on move day were just SUPREME.

Dan, Peter and Norm were just the BEST (and I've moved a lot so know the good from the bad) - they were focused, professional, good humoured (v much needed to calm the nerves) and I would use them again in a heart beat.

Highly recommended - good value and worth their weight in gold. I can not thank them enough for being so good on the day!

I am not one to write reviews but we moved house this week in the horrible conditions the beast from the east bought and Smile Moves provided and outstanding finish from start to finish on moving our 4 bedroom house from Penge to Richmond. We opted for the full pack and move service and boy was it worth every penny. Big thanks to Simon the owner who logistically planned the moved so well and all his workers who worked so so hard in the horrible conditions they faced over the two days. A great team to have around and did not moan at all. . , We have unpacked and no breakages found. I wish the company all the best going forward in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a very good removal company to move them.

Hi I thought I would have to write a review on such a brilliant removal company. I found this company on the east Dulwich forum in london where I live which someone had reccomended to me. A gentlemen called Simon came round and carried out a survey on our 2 Bed Apartment. He was so charming and polite that straight away I trusted him. He then at the end mentioned it was his company. Well that said it all as he really did sell himeself and his workers. We decided to go for their full pack and move service which was great as it include all the packaging materials, and there was no limit on what was used. Unlike other companies that have quoted per box or how many metres of bubbkle you will use. The team who turned up to carry out the packing where just exceptional, they did me proud as they just got on with it after a brief tour of our apartment. my partner and I did nothing. They arrived the next morning at 8.am and dismantled our bed and daughters cot and then packed up the last bits and then loaded up into the van. They arrived in liverpool around 4pm and by 7 pm everything was done. The guys were just full of life and we were telling stories as if we all new each other.Very professional and helpfull in all areas.  The added bonus was our daughter was asleep by 7.30pm and did not get disdturbed by the move at all. Smile Moves Quote was the higest we had of the 4 removal companies who had round by around £200 but it was well worth every penny. Highly reccomend this company..Move with a smile is their slogan as yes it is true.

My experience of Smile Move was was beyond anything I could have wished for.  Amazing guys to ship me up to Lincolnshire after 20 years down south.   

They made the whole job effortless and were so friendly and professional.  The price was well worth the personable service I received, and I was moved in a total of five hours!  Nothing seemed to faze the guys with regards to the weight or awkwardness of my stuff, and they helped me to dismantle the larger items.

I recently used the services of Smile Moves to move from East Dulwich to Dulwich Village. I had chosen them based on other positive reviews.
The guys that did the move were friendly and made the entire day run smoothly. They also had to do some very nifty parking to get close to my new property, but again did this with professionalism and a smile. At no point durig the day did they let me see or think that anything was a challenge for them, which again made my overall move experience relatively stress free.
 
I would definitiely use them again - they offer great value for money and are lovely chaps.

I thought Smile Moves did an excellent job.

The service was on time, and carried out efficiently. Nothing was damaged, and everything was carefully packaged.

The most impressive thing was the good nature of the two men who attended. Moving out is obviously a stressful thing to do, and they just got on with it with the minimum of fuss, and maximum care.

I used Smile Moves 2 years ago and had a good experience, and if anything this time was better. I'm very glad I used them again, and would recommend them to anyone.

The guys were amazing. In 2 hours and 15 minutes they loaded and downloaded the truck without damaging anything. They worked nonstop and they were very polite. Simon, the owner of the business, was punctual in returning my call and behaved very professionally. Try these guys. You will be completely satisfied. I will use them again for my next move. I moved to London 10 months ago and this has been the most plesant experience so far. No delays, no tricks, price as agreed. Overall, I would give them a rating of excellent. .

I searched long and hard for removal companies that weren't too pricey and had good reviews for both removal and a full packing service (2 bed maisonette in East London to a 3 bed house down in Twickenham). I found several on Mumsnet (great source of knowledge!) and investigated them, including Smile Moves. Simon Edney responded promptly with a quote, not necessarily the cheapest, but compared to others, quite reasonable. Initially we decided to go with another, slightly cheaper, company but our move date changed and they were unable to help. Thankfully Simon was able to accommodate us at very late notice, which was a great relief. Simon was very helpful and great in terms of communication, which I think is essential in those situations. On the packing day, 3 guys arrived on time and I took them through the flat to look at what needed to be packed and then they just got on with the job. They were incredibly nice, professional and efficient and made me feel very comfortable. Within a few hours they had packed the majority of our belongings and we were left with our essentials for overnight (which we had prepared before). They were very good at asking questions if they weren't sure whether to pack this or that too. On the moving day (next day), the guys arrived on time with two vans and within 3 hours, both vans were packed and ready to go. Once we got to our new house, they unpacked everything where we wanted and built both our bed and the cotbed which meant that we could just go to bed without any hassle that night amongst the mess. They were very flexible and helped us move things in different places when needed. The packing itself was great, everything was completely protected and nothing was broken or went missing. They packed every single cup, mug and glass in paper, which was amazing. Overall, the experience was really good. Moving is stressful and those guys lessened the stress quite significantly and we felt we could trust them completely with our belongings. I would recommend them to anyone.

Moving house is always a very stressful matter. Therfore a very understanding approach has to be part and parcel of the company who are moving you.
Given that we needed a large amount of material lifted and stored as well as the physical move required a tolerance and flexibilty that I assumed to be a challenge.
However in reality with this compnay my fears and trepidation was unfounded.
This proved to be the very best experience we could wish for . Polite, amusing, understanding and patient. Their efficiency was remarkable and the attention to detail ideal. I will definitely reccomend this company as it was recommended to me.
Smile Moves did exactly what the Companies name implies.

Very good service.  Within 10 minutes of finding them via a search engine, Simon from Smile Moves had telephoned to estimate the quote.  That arrived within 24 hours. Despite having just 7 days’ notice, Smile Moves were not only able to move my considerable stuff, but did it efficiently and for a fixed price. They were more realistic than other companies who somehow thought that only 2 blokes and 1 van would be needed to shift 60 /70 crates of books, cd's and miscellaneous crap that I can't live without.
Smile Moves provided an excellent service on the day notwithstanding the chaos that greeted them. The 3 guys were cheerful, punctual and took good care of my stuff, which included an antique toy plane that they dealt with impeccably.  Despite the move taking longer than I think they anticipated, mainly due to a very slow lift and then getting stuck in rush our traffic en route to the new place, the Smile Moves team remained cheerful and professional.

I was very impressed with their service and am happy to recommend.
