Long-distance move from Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia to Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia

Lagerservice: Mobilliar und anderer Hausrat völlig ruiniert.

Mein (zuvor unbeschädigter und zum Teil hochwertiger) Hausrat ist nach der Lagerung bei der Firma Siegfried
Kautz reif für den Sperrmüll, oder anders ausgedrückt: Zurück bekommen habe ich keinen brauchbaren Hausrat, sondern nahezu nur noch Schrott.
Das Lagergut wurde offenkundig völlig unsachgemäß gelagert. Das Mobiliar und andere Gegenstände sind über und über mit Schimmel befallen, verrostet, verzogen und aufgeweicht. Teilweise befinden sich an den
Gegenständen Wasserränder, so als hätte das Umzugsgut regelrecht im Regen oder in Pfützen gestanden. Manche Gegenstände des Lagerguts sind gar nicht mehr
vorhanden. Meine ursprünglich selbst gepackten und mit Kartonband fest verschlossenen Umzugskisten wurden von der Firma Kautz - ohne mein Wissen - ausgepackt und in andere Kartons regelrecht geschmissen. In den Kartons
habe ich zerbrochenes Porzellan, zerbrochene Gläser, verschimmelte Bücher und noch jede Menge andere beschädigte, jetzt unbrauchbare Sachen, vorgefunden. Handtücher und Packpapier sind von Mäusen angefressen, in den Kartons befindet sich
Mäusekot. Als hätte diese Katastrophe noch nicht gereicht und wäre der Schaden noch nicht groß genug: Als ich bei einer Besichtigung des Lagergutes zum ersten Mal entdeckt hatte, in welchem Zustand sich mein Hausrat befindet
und das reklamiert habe, hat sich Herr Siegfried Kautz "tot" gestellt. Im Übrigen hat er sich grundsätzlich um nichts gekümmert. Sowohl telefonisch als auch per E-Mail war er nie! zu erreichen. Sein überaus unfreundlicher Mitarbeiter hat meine E-Mail ebenso nicht beantwortet und meine Anrufe mit Hörerauflegen "beantwortet". Kompetenz und Kundenorientierung: Fehlanzeige!! Jedenfalls konnte ich dergleichen nicht feststellen. Auf meine Beschwerde-E-Mails (dass man endlich meine Sachen herausgeben solle) habe ich keine Antwort erhalten. Diesbezügliche Anrufe wurden mit Hörerauflegen "beantwortet".

Offenbar hoffte man darauf, dass ich irgendwann zermürbt aufgebe, weil der Hausrat ohnehin nicht mehr zu gebrauchen war und ich auf die Sachen verzichte. Erst nach mehreren Monaten - mit anwaltlicher Hilfe - konnte ich meine Sachen endlich abholen. Der Albtraum geht aber weiter: Die Firma Kautz verweigert sich, für die Schäden zu haften, obwohl die Beweislage erdrückend ist. Bleibt also nur noch der Klageweg.

Apparently they hoped that at some point I would give up in a weary state because the household effects were no longer usable anyway and I would do without the things. Only after several months - with the help of a lawyer - was I finally able to pick up my things. The nightmare continues: The Kautz company refuses to accept liability for the damage, although the evidence is overwhelming. So all that remains is the legal action.
