Shirleys Removals

We used her services last January 2012. I felt completely ripped off by how much I was charged on that day.  We were quoted for the job, 4 hours job by you before we accepted their services but we paid 9 hours and 30 minutes. Also we had to work the whole time until the last minutes like if we were part of the removal team and that was not what we imagined by using their services. The girls decided to pack the whole van and do only one trip- this was a huge mistake and that's where time was wasted. Not all our furniture were also taken as nothing else could fit in the van and some of my mates had to help us the next day- finally now we are starting to settle down, we realised some of our furniture were also damaged- The storage was organised really badly and the whole experience was utterly a dissatisfaction on our part.   I believe this was the worst removal scenario we had ever experienced and to be frank we still feel today we had been completely ripped off.   Our wardrobes were dismantled, despite the conversation we had with them informing us the units will be moved the same way they are found.    £526 is the amount we gave them for that job ( £70 for the van rental)-   we communicated with Shirley about our situation, but their company decided we were NOT misinformed.   Bottom line: DO NOT USE THEM.

Excellent service. I chose this company because they were local and had a good reputation and am so glad I did.Mine was a small move but moving is still stressful and this company took the pain out of it for me. The workers who moved me were friendly, professional and efficient. There was no direct access to either property but they were flexible and helpful about this. I was packed and unpacked in very quick time and my things were treated with care. Despite my probably unhelpful 'just leave them anywhere' while they were unpacking into my new home, the workers thankfully knew better and stacked and placed boxes and furniture really sensibly so that I could move around easily. This is probably their normal practice but it was much appreciated (as was their tact in not pointing out that 'just anywhere' would leave me tripping over things!). From my experience with them, I would highly recommend.

I used Shirleys removals a few times in London and now they moved me to Edinburgh. As always, fantastic service from first minute of booking to the time the last item was delivered. Fast, reliable, friendly and they kept me informed of their arrival time, they worked exceptionally hard all day loading/unloading the van and driving long hours from London to Scotland and one of my big furniture would not go up the stairs at my new home but this presented no difficulty to the guys who most expertly dismantled it and the rebuilt it once they'd carried it in. This has saved me a huge amount od time and inconvenience. I would use them again and highly recommend them to all my friends and family.  Many thanks Shirleys Removals Robert .

No wonder Shirley's team are so professional, she was an absolute joy to deal with. Shirley is on top of things and asked all the right questions to ensure as smooth a move as possible.

Her team were professional and very efficient. Despite being a small job, it wasn't an issue for them.

It was a city move and despite the horrendous traffic the team weren't fazed.

A set price plus the congestion charge is great value for money.
