International move from Paris, Ile-de-France to London, Greater London

Appalling.

What a joke! I contacted removex to move 6 boxes from Paris back to London. It started well when Hadi Diyan gave what I thought was a very professional response to my inquiry and he sent me some empty boxes to Paris to get ready. I had the invoice (which he told me to pay at the time of the pick up), te confirmation email. The pick up was booked for a Wednesday and I was moving back to the UK on the Thursday morning. I tried to contact him on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with no response to emails, messages on facebook or phone calls. I was left on Wednesday night, with my boxes and the move on the Thursday! Luckily Paris-London is not far and could find a solution but this has been a waste of time and a very stressful experience.

Absolutely brilliant.

I used removex when I was moving from my home in Cambridge to a flat in London for university. I packed everything myself and had it delivered straight to the flat, no problems at all, nothing broken or missing. I really can't complain. The price was the cheapest I got from a total of 3 removal companies. Very happy!! If I ever need to move again then I'm definitely going to used removex again and I'll recommend it to anyone that needs to move.

Long-distance move from London, Greater London to Reading, Berkshire

Unreliable and appaling communication.

Never use this company, their sales team is completely unreliable and their service appaling.

I booked them for a very straightforward move of five hours max (only small and medium size boxes, no large items or furniture) and before booking clearly stated I was looking for a company that could do it in the morning, as I would be unavailable in the afternoon. I got confirmation that the driver would arrive between 08.00 and 09.00 am.

On the day, the driver did not arrive within the agreed timeframe. Nobody had the courtesy to inform me of what was happening; I had to phone your company myself, which I did at 09.10. They said they would contact the driver, and he would surely be there soon as he had left the yard at 07.45.

They phoned me back at 09.23. All of a sudden, the driver had not left at 07.45, and I got a completely different story about the driver having another job between 07.00 and 08.00, and that customer having 54 boxes instead of 15, which was impacting on my move. They tried to make it out that it was all that customer's fault. That is just complete nonsense. Everybody living in London knows that you don't plan to drive to an address, no matter how close, collect a load, no matter how small, and drive back through central London at that time of the morning in under three hours. It is just despicable how they tried to blame another customer for their poor planning and deliberate double booking.
They also said that the driver would certainly be at my address before 11.00 - they said 11.00 was worst case scenario.

At 11.00 - 3 hours late, I phoned the company again asking where the driver was. They said they did not know and would phone me back.

At 11.30 - 3.5 hours late, and 30 minutes after they said they would phone back, they still had not phoned back. I had to phone them again and was told that the driver would be there within 45 minutes.

At 12.45 - 4.75 hours late and 1.75 hours later than the supposedly worst case scenario of 11.00, the driver still had not arrived. When I phoned the company, they said he was stuck miles away from my address.

At 13.30 the driver finally arrived - 5.5 hours late and 2.5 hours later than the supposedly worst case scenario of 11.00. I had already brought all the boxes to the ground floor myself and without any help from them, in an attempt to save at least that bit of time.

I don't know which I find worse: their failure to honour the arrangement for a simple and straightforward move, or their appaling communication throughout.

Three weeks later, I am still waiting for an apology or at least a decent explanation of what happened. But the only communication I received was their invoice - the full amount, obviously.

Best Removal Company in Town.

I used removex Twice now to move some stuff to a garage and I have to say these guys are just on point. It was reasonably cheap. I had to arrange the pickup from work and gave the drivers the address and who to meet during the pickup.

They worked like a treat reliable and very very quick turnaround also remember as other companies try to push on this service.

I believe I will recommend to anyone for fast service and a professional job well done.

Long-distance move from London, Greater London to Luton, Bedfordshire

Avoid at all costs.

I used Removex for a simple move from a ground floor flat to a 2 bed cottage about 40mins away. I very carefully calculated the amount of items and boxes I needed moving and provided dimensions of all furniture. I even called them a couple of day before to check that 1 luton van would be enough as I had concerns it wouldn't all fit. I was assured it was fine and later realised this was no doubt a ploy to make their quote more appealing and leave me with no choice on the day but to pay for another trip.

I was told that the van and removal staff would be with by 9am at the latest so planned accordingly and got up at 6am to make sure everything was ready to go. They were late so I called their office. I was told that they had had a problem with the van and they had to return to the depot to get another vehicle. They eventually turned up at 11.30am 2 and a half hours later which immediately puts you on the back foot for the rest of the day, not to mention the fact that my wife was waiting in the new empty house with new heating.

But here's the worst part.. When the driver turned up he explained that they were late because someone hadn't turned up to work. This means that their office clearly lied to me.

Because they had underestimated the amount I had to move, the loading took 4 hours and surprise surprise it didn't all fit. We reached our new home at 4.30pm (my wife very cold and bored after 5 hours in the new house without heating).

They then had to do another trip and although they discounted it for the late arrival this didn't nearly come close to the added stress and additional time this had caused.

Three weeks later I was looking under our bed that they had reassembled and I noticed that there was a large chunk taken out of the wooden leg. I also noticed that there was no end wooden vanity cover. On closer inspection I found it screwed in the middle of the bed. They had put it back together incorrectly.

I phoned Removex and emailed several times and eventually managed to speak to someone. They said they would investigate and get back to me with a solution. They didn't until I phoned and emailed again several times. Eventually they said the damage was not covered by their insurance as I didn't notice it within 7 days. I have asked them when they will be coming round to reassemble the bed correctly as this has nothing to do with insurance policies and I am still waiting to hear (that was 2 months ago)

Don't use this shambolic company unless you want to be lied to and have your possessions damaged.

International move from London, Greater London to Berlin, Land Berlin

Flawless work.

I needed all my stuff moved from London to Berlin, I asked quite a few companies for a quote and the one Removex gave was by far the best one, at a very reasonable price.

The service they provided was just seamless, from the beginning to the end, absolutely professional, involved and following up. I received all the boxes they sent me, then the pick up was just on time and all my items were delivered in Berlin at the estimated time they mentioned without any issues at all.

I highly recommend it to anyone moving across countries.
