MD Removals

If you value your belongings and your sanity, DO NOT USE 'MD REMOVALS'. We provided them with the simple task of moving my unwell mother's house contents of primarily pre packed boxes and furniture which was confined to a garage, a double bedroom and a garden cabin.  This was to be moved and unloaded to a strorage facility as we had recently sold our house: they couldn't have asked for a simpler job! However, what we got was the most unprofessional service I've ever come across in my life: no regard to our needs or belongings.  A number of 12 men turned up to the storage facility at different times in the evening with one priority: to off load their trucks to get done as quickly as possible. To experience the hell I did for 12 hours, was sublime.. I felt as if I had walked into somebody else's life!  items were hauled off the truck and strewn into the unit without taking any guidance from me; boxes marked fragile and containing glass ware were stacked upon with the largest/heaviest of boxes; boxes marked 'this way up' containing liquids were stacked on their side; I saw items topple, items drop and when I addressed them the response was 'oops'.   Not only did I have to deal with juveniles, the so called 'team supervisor' was arrogant and rude.  There were member of the crew that were inebriated.  items went missing! The whole ordeal of the move began at 10 am and finished at 11 (and only on the account that we sent them 'packing' because they were making our lives hell).  Consequently, we were left to finish the move by ourselves. In eagerness to get out of the storage facility security gate, they tampered with it and broke out leaving the facility insecure over night.  Consequently, they have been banned from ever visiting the facility again. This whole experience has left me and my mother in shock; a few days on and it's still so very hard to talk about, given we have also just lost two houses we were purchasing.  They have created collateral damage to both my mother's possessions and our mental well being.  Every day we step into that unit, it has us reliving our experience. If there is any advice from this nightmare to share with you: MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS GO ON A RECOMMENDATION.

The MD Removals team moved me circa 15 miles. They offered a full packing service on Day one, Day 2 was the move day where they finalized packing and delivered/unpacked/re-asembled items. They also offer a cleaning service for end of tenancy which took a lot of hassle out of moving. Good team, highly professional and just got on with the job. Team were courteous and highlighted any damage to items pre-loading to indemnify themselves, no further breakages en-route! I would certainly use again!

We chose MD removals based on value for money compared to other quotes we recieved. They quoted £1050 to move a jampacked 3bedroom semi, with lots of garden furniture. We were told we would need three vans to move us. On the day, the first van arrived and the guys were really friendly and professional. They were very organised and had the first van loaded in about an hour and set off to our new house. The second and third vans came to load the garden and rest of the furniture. They guys all worked really efficiently and took great care not to damage the furniture. They had plenty of rugs to protect carpets and delievered each item to the desired
location. They were keen to please us. We were initially
hesitant to go with MD removals due to some of the reviews,
but we were glad to have chosen them and were very happy
with the service. We would recommend using MD Removals.

Am glad we chose MD Removals as the company to help us move, very good price meant a good start to the whole thing, although they were a little late turning up to start this was not a problem at all, and they did take the time to call and let me know they were running behind, two very courteous young lads carried out the job, and took care in doing so, I am hoping this was my last house move in life but if not would definitely use MD Removals again. I have put down Gloucester as it did not have Hereford on the drop down

Great service by MD Removals. We had very short notice before we had to move but they were happy to accomodate. The price was very competative and whole experience of moving less painful than we thought it would be. Their experienced staff were careful, polite and fast at both stages of the move. We had to pay a bit extra for waiting time and wished we had taken out the insurance, but we had no idea the other party were not as efficient as MD Removals who I would recommend to anyone.

We would like to thank MD removals for their great support and service with our move from Birmingham to London.
I had been in contact with them from about two months prior to the move and they were fast and professional in replying to my questions and phone calls. They provided a competitive rate and made some reductions when we decided not to bring some large items.
On the day of the move they arrived on time and for to work quickly. In addition, they were kind enough to take more of our potted plants than we had originally requested as there was space in the van.
When we got to our new home, we started unloading but half an hour later we were asked to stop as the Eatate Agent had made an error. We had to wait for three hours until we could start unloading again. They did not complain once, nor show signs of frustration.
They were courteous, polite, respectful throughout the day. I felt they must have been well trained in customer service, and was impressed.
Finally, we had a piano that had to be carried up ten steps into our new home. Despite it being eight at night, after they had begun the job at 7am, they tackled the job with care. It was not easy but they got there.
We would like to thank everyone at MD Removals for their great service.

Guys who supported me with my move from Birmingham to Coventry were very helpful and efficient with removing my items and placing them safely in my new home in Coventry. They were respectful of my furniture and even offered to help dismantle my wardrobe when we couldn't get in into the bedroom. This was not necessary as I found an alternative place but I thought that was very kind to offer. I found the price to be reasonable and I felt the guys were friendly and humorous without being too invasive. They worked very well together and were very syncronised, without falling out, when executing some manoeuvres with some of the furniture and I think they would make very good contestants in Strictly Come Dancing but they said they couldn't dance which is sad. I found the communication before moving date effective and helpful and would have no hesitation recommending this company to others thinking of moving. Thank you.

The service provided by MD Removals was superb and I would highly recommend for the professionalism, the care and attention paid throughout both the initial transaction and our actual removal of goods between our properties. Also, very pleasantly the attitude and courtesy of your colleagues (I know one of the chaps was Dimitri, apologies unsure of the second chaps name) – their manners and presence throughout were impeccable.

Having received several quotes after my initial on line enquiry, yours was the first and ultimately the price match meant the whole deal was extremely good value for money. Very happy to endorse the service and we will most certainly be calling in the future.

MD Removals were professional from the very first phone call. Lydia and Lisa in the office provided a quote and date of removal to which I cancelled twice, they were both understanding and sympathetic to my situation. When I finally got a move date it was very short notice (2 days) MD Removals accommodated and Dwayne and his team arrived - excellent bunch of lads, nothing was to much trouble. Everyone was polite, helpful, courteous and I couldn't fault the service that my husband and I received. Dwayne and his team dismantled furniture, packed it and reassembled at our new house - checking to make sure we were happy with everything at every stage of the removal process.

From the first time I contacted Lydia at MD Removals, she was extremely professional and accommodating. We had to change the date twice as we were let down by the people that we were buying from. She was very helpful and always tried to help.

The team on the day were exceptional and provided us with an exceptional service and kept us informed every step of the way.

Despite the fact that I never want to move again, I would definitely recommend them.

First time we have ever used a removal company and it was a vert pleasant experience.
Booking was easy, had a little issue with the payment, I think there was a delay with it showing up in their accounts but they kept in touch with us so that wasn't really an issue.

The removal guys came little early which was perfect for us, they were in and out of the building pretty quick, we were moving from a first floor flat to a 3 bed house about 70 miles away. When we got to the new house they were really quick unloading and asked us where we wanted certain bfs of furniture,

I would definitely recommend them, they made the move so smooth and stress free.

First ever time I would use a moving company. Extremely impressed with the service. I used a removal comparison site and chose MD removals because it was the cheapest option. I was a bit scared this would affect the quality of service but it didn't (to the best of my knowledge). Two lovely chaps came in and removed my stuff in the most careful manner I could ever imagine. I would recommend the gold package as it includes disassembly/installation of beds, wardrobes etc
I had a corner sofa which was too big to go through the first-floor lounge entrance. I have read reviews of movers leaving stuff like that outside. Happily, the movers were very intuitive and went the extra mile of passing it through the garden and up the balcony door (so happy I had a door big enough to pass the damn thing in).
It was over all a very pleasant experience.

Highly recommend these guys for removals, we moved from Birmingham to Lancashire. Dwayne and his 2 x colleagues arrived on time, they were extremely courteous and very professional. The lads worked very hard, they had a very long day ahead of them, and they barely sat down. Dwayne especially re-assured my mum who was moving house for the first time in 35 years that everything would be fine and to put her feet up and not to stress. That he would do the stressing for her! However the whole move was very smooth. It was not the most ideal day to move as it was pouring down, but this did not deter them from loading the fan it the most efficient way.

My mum was very concerned that we would not be able to get all her belongings into the van, but Dwayne re-assured my mum it was all going to fine and he would sort it. And that he did. I have never seen such an expertly way of loading a lorry. It was like jigsaw it all slotted together amazingly. He had obviously done this before!

There were very large pieces of furniture to move into their van, and they did this with extreme care. Nothing was damaged and there were a lot of fragile and valuable items that they took extra care with these items.

The cost of moving was very reasonable, although not the cheapest you have to remember you get what you paid for. We were glad that we paid that bit extra to receive such an excellent service it was worth every penny.

Please pass on our thanks again to the guys they are a real asset to your company and certainly worth holding on to and looking after.

I had contacted a few other firms and given prices and assurances around dates stating "we can call on our UK network". When it came to it they didn't have the dates or men or vehicles.
So, I contacted MD Removals at very short notice and Lydia came round to quote. Having inspected all rooms she provided a quote there and then. The quote was, to be honest, far more expensive than the others I received, however MD matched the price without argument.
We took the Gold Service to include all packing etc and were very pleased. The packers arrived the day before and on time, leaving us with what we needed for the night and next morning (handy given we have 2x under 3 year olds). They arrived next day on time again and all 4 began to loan the vans (arrived in 3x smaller vehicles rather than one large lorry due to access issues).
They unloaded all items into rooms of our choice and I have no complaints about their work.
Would recommend them and would use them again.
Thanks for accommodating us at such short notice and for matching the price of the larger firms (who work on economies of scale so can offer a cheaper service I guess).

I would like to thank Lydia and Lisa at MD removals, for thier professionalism and the way the made me feel important and reassured me.
On the day of the move, from Bridgnorth to Dudley, I got a phone call from the guys letting me know they were on way and arrived a little early, they got stuck in straight away, they were polite and accommodating all the time, they were very friendly, even though the weather was very hot, they did not stop working.
It seemed they couldn't do enough to make the move comfortable for me, I cannot and did not find a negative comment about this team.
I would certainly recommend MD removals and will definitely use them again, the best company I have ever had the pleasure of working with, from start to finish I was very impressed and so happy I chose MD removals.
