M25 Movers

I moved with M25 movers and had the worst most stressful experience.

Their man who came round to assess the price of the removal was nice, which is where the 1star comes from. The rest of the removal deserves MINUS 5 stars.

On the move day, their main man was exeptionally rude, agressive and dismissive. I felt nervous and scared in his presence because of his attitude.

Each time I passed him he blurted out, is there MORE? All this in this room??!? I had gone through with him what will be taken, and what not initially.

However during the move he made us feel guilty for every piece of furniture and box his team had to take. As if he was doing us a personal favor!

Then his men managed to badly damage some of our furniture. We showed the damages to the team leader, who also took photos of these himself. Still he refused that his team had caused the damages, in his hostile and agressive tone. I was actually afraid to write a bad review, in case I ran into this intimidating man- he had the air of someone who would beat you up, if he knew you were giving him a bad review.

When I reported the damage to their head office and asked about the claim proceedure, I was informed that I had to fill out the claim form within 7 days and show original receipts as well as confirmation of repair costs! Who can do that within 7 days of a move, with a child and full-time work??

I found out, withM25 is not possible to claim for furniture older than 5 years! I had some vintage furniture, which was damaged the worst. So I could not even claim for that.

After filling in the claim, I was informed that the team manager does not believe these damages were inflicted during the move! Hence, I did not get any damages paid.

I had seen the workers bang the furniture on every wall possible during the move, and asked them, why they don't for example take out the drawers of a chest of drawers to make it lighter and prevent the drawers banging into the walls and banisters?

What proof does one have of pre and post move damage to furniture?!?! Who photographs their furniture before the move in meticlus detail?

I don't have high expectations from a removal company. I just want the move to be done without damages and to be spoken to in a friendly manner.

But moving with M25 movers was traumatising and unbelievably stressful.

There are plenty of great removal companies out there. Just do NOT move with M25!

Moving house is a stressful period of time anyway, so what do you need? A removal company that cancel your booking three days prior to your moving date. We received an email and not even a phone call to cancel our packing service and move and when I called help was far from their lips.

Carlo who emailed us and who also dealt with our booking didn't seem in the slightest sorry for the cancelation, in fact he was rather brash about it. Apparently there were a shortage of vehicles due to them not being up to standard or some rubbish.

He then had the audacity to ask us to change our moving date even though we had informed them the week prior that this was impossible due to the chain and completion

Lucky for us not all heroes wear capes and AnyVan were able to book us in last minute.

Thanks for nothing M25 Movers.

I am not one to write reviews but I wanted to warn anybody looking to AVOID using this company at all costs. I used them to store my goods during a refurbishment - all my electronics (including 2 tvs, a microwave and our sonos bar) went missing. They REFUSED to accept liability and now we are taking legal action. After more research I fount out this has happened to many many people. Now taking legal action. PLS AVOID - don't know how this company is a legal entity in the UK? seems like some dodgy dealings are going on.

BE CAREFUL!! Stay away from this company.

The statements they make on their website are far removed from reality.

Do not be deceived by claims that they employ vetted and professional movers.

We employed them, payed all on time only to find out that most of the boxes were mislabelled, silver items were damaged and valuables were stolen, including a £290

In cash from my drawer and my child’s treasure chest.

We reported it to the police as theft but unfortunately the case was closed due to lack of evidence. The police told us that they were very unhelpful in the investigation.

We approached M25 customer service. They were rude and unhelpful.

My advice is STAY AWAY!!

Dealing with them means you not only risk your valuables, they are completely unprofessional.

M25 Movers claim that your move is insured and protected, but what they don’t tell you is that doesn’t apply to items three years or older.

They did not wear any face masks the entire time they were doing the job, until the on-site management of the new place told them to.

In the apartment though, they took them off.

During our move they damaged a clock, tv unit, Sonos speaker, another set of speakers, the wall of the building we moved into, a collectible box from our wedding amongst other items.

They also advise that the claim you make must be reasonable and cannot reflect the original price of the item. So you have to have your item refurbished by the cheapest place possible basically.

They constantly advise they’re protected by their terms and conditions; they genuinely believe that if they damaged all of your items and they were older than three years, it would be fine as they’re protected by T&C’s.

They will NOT refund you any money directly, they do what they want, and then just try and process an insurance claim, using a policy which is cheap for them but not fit for purpose for the customer.

The company has a duty of care, and they should know that they can’t just shrug their shoulders.

They will act in this manner until they’re held accountable, and if anything goes wrong you better believe you’re going to fight tooth and nail to get anything back.

If you’ve got items older than three years old, avoid them, if you want an honest company that actually cares about their customers, avoid them.

They will be taken to a small claims court, and all expenses will be reclaimed.

I’ve attempted to settle this, but they’re being difficult and I just want to make sure nobody else goes through this.

If you look deeper than the reviews on quote comparison websites, you will see that there’s a pattern of damage to customer items. Quote comparison websites will only display reviews if you’ve requested a quote for them. Meaning they’re not entirely impartial, and are willing to exclude negative reviews in favour of you using their service and booking a mover to get commission.

I will be leaving this review on every single review site I can find to warn as many people as possible.
