Brown and Daughter Removals

They came to my house, gave me a quoted which I agreed and we confirmed the booking. I phoned a few days before moving to be told they had not booked my move in their diary and there was nothing they could do. I was left with less than a week to find someone else. They were not interested in helping me anyway they could. Don't trust them even if they confirm you have a confirmed booking. They really are not interested in helping you. They could have helped by suggesting some other companies to try but they were not interested. Don't use this company.

This is the second time we have used Brown and Daughter to move office and both times they have been great.

From obtaining a quote to the actual move all members of staff have been very professional and courteous.

Desks had to be taken apart and re-assembled and although there was a small lift at the new office there was a tall cabinet which had to be handballed up 4 flights of stairs and the lads managed it all with a smile!!

What a lovely company to deal with. They really helped take a lot of stress out of our moving day. Plenty of packaging materials and advice was provided beforehand giving us plenty of time to get everything sorted and packed and even though we had to cancel and re-book our removals date several times thanks to our buyers messing about it didn't cause a problem. The guys on the day were very courteous and professional and really worked their socks off making sure that everything was relocated into the correct rooms, appliances were plumbed in and the bed reassembled. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We have recently moved from a 4 bed 3 storey house in Birmingham, we chose to use Brown & Daughter because they offered a simple on the spot quotation which was very competitively priced.I don't always go for the cheapest company but on this occasion I did purely on the flexibility, no hidden extras, peace of mind and how friendly Brian,Elizabeth and Lorraine were during our telephone conversations before the move date.The removal team Kev & Tim were brilliant, they were respectful, careful and a real pleasure to deal with, honestly could not have asked for better service from start to finish Well done and I have already passed the number onto a friend, I would not hesitate to recommend them for your removals.

Recently moved house and started looking at different removal firms,thankfully we chose Brown and Daughter to move us, right from the day when Bradley came and quoted us what was a very fair price we were impressed by what he told us about the company, the guys who came to do the packing for us were bang on taking great care of all our belongings, then on the day of the move all went like clockwork regarding the actual move and all four lads worked like trojans putting furnaces into our new place, would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone thinking of moving.

I would just Like to express my sincere gratitude to the effort and professionalism and over all good nature of all the guys that helped us move this past few days, if you could pass on my regards, especially considering the trick access conditions, amount of content they shifted and also our lovely neighbours in Dunhampstead (Bradley will understand!!) They are a credit to your organisation. We had a full packing Service, Furniture Dismantlers and a 5 Man Move team, with articulated Lorry. Could not have asked for more.

I don't normally do reviews but on this occasion I am more than happy to recommend this Company to anyone thinking of using a removal Firm.
From day one from the quote from Lewis to date of removal everything confirmed and updates received via text/email.

Frank and Aaron duly arrived on time and after quick chat to confirm all the items that were to be removed from my flat to the new Apartment they went about their tasks with great efficiency as well as a bit of banter. They even dismantled the and reassembled IKEA Wardrobe for me.

Van loaded and so confident of the service of this great pair I left them to duly complete the move to my new Apartment whilst I visited one of my new public establishments namely the Horse & Jockey.

Received phone call in a timely manner from them once completed and found everything placed as requested.

Hoping not to move for some considerable time but if I ever do these will the Company that I will be using.

Once again thanks for a stress free removal and cannot recommend them highly enough.

We used Brown and Daughters Removals to move from Birmingham to Wolverhampton yesterday and this is just a word of warning. Although they say on the phone and in the estimate they give you that there are 'no hidden charges' and no charges for 'waiting time', what they don't tell you is that if the workmen have to continue after 4pm, you have to pay each man extra by the hour. We were unfortunately left waiting for the keys until 4pm and then, during what was already a stressful day, we were harassed repeatdly down the phone by the owner to pay additional charges. It was a real shame because the removal men themselves were brillent and did a great job, but we were left feeling totally stressed out by the whole experience and felt like we had been lied to about the costs. If they had been upfront from the start about extra charges it wouldn't have been a problem, but we choose to go with them (the more expensive quote) because of the promise of no hidden extras. So just be warned - if you use Brown and Daughters and your move is delayed, have your cash card ready!!
