1. Writing Review guidelines:Write a review guidelines

  • Why writing a moving review: Our community wants to hear about your experience. By simply adding your review you are helping millions of people just like you to choose the better company. Writing a review and reviewing your company is fast and easy in less than 5 minutes. No matter if it is a bad or a good experience, publish your comments, testimonials, complaints and consumer reports and help others to make more informative decision when hiring movers.
  • How to write a review: Click on “Write a Review” button in the menu bar of the website. Then you will be asked to enter the company’s name and click “Add a review”. You can also locate the business you’re trying to review by using the search bar located at the top of any page on the website. Enter what you’re looking for in the search field. Once you’ve located the business page, it’s simple: click or tap “Write a Review “and you’ll be led through the remaining steps to finish. Or you can simply start your moving review by following this link.
  • Review length and spelling: Be at least 100 characters of text, but we recommend posting more detailed and in-depth reviews. Spell check your review before submitting.
  • Personal experience: Refer to your specific experience with the company. We want to hear about your firsthand consumer experience, not what you heard from your co-worker or friend. Try to tell your own story without resorting to broad generalizations and conclusory allegations.
  • Original: Do not rebuttal comments or reviews by other visitors. Give us your best, most accurate advice — just make sure it’s yours! Reviews should contain original content and no extensive quoted material from other sources. Any review content plagiarized from other websites, reviewers, emails, or printed materials will be removed.
  • Accuracy: Make sure your review is factually correct. Feel free to air your opinions, but don’t exaggerate or misrepresent your experience. We don’t take sides when it comes to factual disputes, so we expect you to stand behind your review. Make sure you are reviewing the correct company, as there might be companies with similar names or trademarks.
  • Relevance: Please make sure your contributions are relevant and appropriate to the website. For example, reviews aren’t the place for rants about a business’s employment practices, political ideologies, extraordinary circumstances, or other matters that don’t address the core of the consumer experience.
  • By posting a review you understand and agree that:
    You must have been a customer of the company you are reviewing.
    You should submit only one review per move/transportation per company. Do not post “play-by-play” reviews.
    Companies and their employees may NOT submit reviews under any circumstances, even by request of a customer.
    You, as the poster of the review, are responsible for the review content. False info may result in review filtration.
    You accept our terms of service.
  • Content ownership and responsibility: The moment a moving review is published on the website of RemovalReviews, the copyright on the content, both text and pictures, of that user submitted review shall be transferred to RemovalReviews. However, the reviewer shall bear full responsibility for the content of the moving review they have submitted. Please note that you are completely responsible for your comments.

2. Photo and document policies and guidelines:

  • Keep it relevant: Photographs and documents are a great way to share your experience with a business, but please make sure your photograph or document is about the relevant business page. We will remove photos and documents that are not related to the business.
  • Pictures are worth 1000 words: Try to make your pictures more images than text.
  • Quality over quantity: As best as you can, upload high quality photos or videos. Photos that are overly blurry, noisy, rotated, or too dark may be removed.
  • We reserve the right to both remove photographs: that violate our content policy, and suspend business owners who upload such media. Photos or videos that violate our content policy might contain: Illegal content, Violations of copyright, Trademark infringement, Pornography, Incitement of violence, Promotion of hate, Invasion of privacy.

3. Violations that lead to review removal:

  • Advertising: Don’t use reviews for advertising, such as adding links to other websites or phone numbers. Reviews should be a genuine reflection of your experience with a place – don’t post reviews just to manipulate a place’s ratings.
  • Spam: Please don’t spam. Write a genuine report of your experience with the place. Don’t include promotional / commercial content, don’t post the same content multiple times and don’t write reviews for the same place from multiple accounts.
  • URLs: To help prevent advertising and spammy reviews, we don’t allow links to other websites in reviews.
  • Off-topic reviews: Don’t post reviews based on someone else’s experience, or that are not about the specific place you’re reviewing. Reviews aren’t meant to be a forum for general political or social commentary or personal rants.
  • Hate Speech: Don’t use obscene, profane, or offensive language. We’ll also remove reviews that represent personal attacks on others. We don’t allow reviews that advocate against groups of people based on their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
  • Conflict of interest: Reviews are most valuable when they are honest and unbiased. If you own or work at a place, please don’t review your own business or employer. Don’t offer or accept money, products, or services to write reviews for a business or to write negative reviews about a competitor.
  • Illegal content: Don’t post reviews that contain or link to unlawful content, like links that facilitate the sale of prescription drugs without a prescription.
  • Intellectual property: Don’t swipe content from other sites or users. Don’t post reviews that infringe others’ rights – including copyright.
  • Sexually Explicit Material: We don’t allow reviews that contain sexually explicit material. Also, we absolutely don’t allow reviews that sexually exploit children or present them in a sexual manner. For this type of content, we’ll remove the review and send a report to the law enforcement.
  • Personal and confidential information: Don’t post reviews that contain another person’s personal and confidential information, including credit card information, government identification number, driver’s license information, etc.
  • Demanding payment: Beyond simply asking for a refund to remedy a bad experience, you should not use removing or posting your review as a way to extract payment from a business, regardless of whether you’ve been a customer.

4. How do I remove, edit or update a moving review?

Depending on when you wrote the review, the procedure is different. Since September 2013 we’ve introduced a simpler way to remove and edit reviews.

  • How to remove a review
    • Removing a review via the automated system. The automated procedure works only for reviews written after September 17, 2013. Please find the email we sent you when you activated your review. The email should have been sent from info@removalreviews.co.uk . You will find the deactivation link in that email. Click the link and follow the steps to deactivate your review.
    • Removing a review by contacting us. We need the following information with that email to remove the review:
      • 1. A link to the live review.
      • 2. Let us know in your email that you want to have the review removed.
      • 3. You need to use the same email address that was used to activate the review.
      • 4. Send this email to info@removalreviews.co.uk
        Sometimes it could take up to 7 business days for the review to be deactivated.
  • How to edit a review

Editing a review via the automated system. The automated procedure works only for reviews written after September 17, 2013. Please find the email we sent you when you activated your review. The email should have been sent from info@removalreviews.co.uk. In that email you will find the deactivation link. Click the link and follow the steps to deactivate your review. After your review is inactive, you can write the new updated review. Please go to this page to write the new review. Make sure you remove your old review BEFORE submitting a new one.

Editing a review by contacting us. If you need to edit your review, you need to contact us. In order to edit your review, you need to remove the old one first and then place a new one. Please send an email with the following information:

  1. A link to the old review.
  2. Let us know in your email that you want to have the review removed because you want to submit a new one.
  3. You need to use the same email address that was used to activate the review.
  4. Send this email to info@removalreviews.co.uk
  5. Wait for the old review to be removed. Sometimes it could take up to 7 business days for the old review to be deleted. You will receive an email confirming the deactivation of the review.
  6. Add your new review.
    Please make sure you remove your old review BEFORE submitting a new one.
  • How to update a review

If you only need to add new information to your current review, you can either edit your review (see the above points) or email us with the corrections you want to make. Please email us from the same email address you used to activate the original review.

5. Where is my moving review?

There can be several reasons why a moving review is not visible on the website:

  • The review has not been activated

Once submitted, every moving review must be activated from your email in order to appear on the website. It may take up to 20 minutes or more for the activation email to be delivered depending on your email provider. Sometimes the emails are delivered into the spam/junk folder. There is a link in the activation email that has to be clicked for the review to become active. All new reviews are displayed on the home page.

  • The review has been removed due to our terms of service

Sometimes we remove moving reviews if they do not comply with our terms of service.

  • The review has been deactivated by our filters

There is an automated filter that is switched on several times a week and flags reviews that are believed to be fake or non-compliant with the reviews guidelines or our terms of service. Those reviews are not deleted but rather remain invisible to the public. Also, they are not counted in the overall company rating.

There are many moving companies that try to manipulate our rating system and we have to protect our visitors. There are also some individuals who try to tarnish moving companies reputation without actually having used their service. This is why we are working on displaying those filtered reviews too.

  • The review is not visible due to an error on our side

It is possible that there is an error on our side. This is why we recommend that you write your moving review again. If you still cannot see your review, please shoot us an email at info@removalreviews.co.uk and we will look into it. Please provide as much information as possible and complete all fields when writing the review.
