Rip Off Cowboys - Removals Review

We were given a low quote by Move Me Easy by phone so I requested to avoid surprises on the day, could they come round to confirm the quote and see our stuff. They sent someone round and upped the quote slightly. Fine. On the day they were 45 minutes late and once there complained there was more stuff than they were led to believe. After speaking to salesman on the phone, who at first had forgotton he'd even sent someone round and had to dig out his notes, he told us our move would be DOUBLE the price, plus more if they had to do two trips. He insinuated we lied about our stuff (despite his man coming round to see it) and said we must have bought more stuff before we moved. Bonkers. We didn't have a choice but to pay double the price and although him telling us he'd send an invoice because we hadn't got the cash out for the upped amount the boys refused to unload the truck without taking cash first. The boys damaged a number of our items, as well as damage caused to the old house, and new house, where they scraped things along walls etc. It made for a very stressful day and I felt utterly conned and ripped off by being put in a position where I didn't really have a choice but to pay. They weren't even professional movers, just two lads and a van. Watch out for this company. Do not use.
